About The Music : October 2019 for sale at Basically Sound

Our next About The Music event is to be held on Thursday 17th October and will be featuring music recorded in one of the most iconic locations in modern music history, namely Abbey Road Studios.

The studios were originally opened in 1931 and were known as The EMI Recording Studios until they were renamed Abbey Road Studios in 1970. The renaming was as a result of the fame that the NW8 address gained following The Beatles use of the street's name for their classic 1969 album. The album cover features the now iconic zebra crossing located right outside the studio building. And, of course, this album has just celebrated its 50th anniversary, so hence giving us the idea for this event.

We will be playing a selection of music from a range of different artists, all of which was recorded in Abbey Road Studios. So, with over 80 years worth of recordings, the list of possibilities is somewhat daunting. But we will try to pull together something for everyone to enjoy during the course of the evening.

As always, places are strictly limited to ensure that everyone has a seat. If you would like to attend, we would gratefully appreciate it if you could either click on the "Find out more" box below or call us on 01362-820800 to reserve your place. **

Light refreshments will be provided as always.

Look forward to seeing you...

** Please note that, with limited spaces available and our wish to allow each & every one of our customers a chance to attend these events, we will give priority to those wishing to attend who did not come along to our last About The Music event.
